Hi
I dont read the long war stories. If they are fiction/word based stories I give them a miss. Sorry..that must disappoint the authors out there. Love the picture based accounts.

Glad you learnt from the post. As for building more troops im doing that firstly to replace losses when Trier was bribed away. Lost a big garrison. Ive also got more money now Im trading with Gaul...I can afford a bit more. The advice on this forum was to have a few more beserkers..ive done a bit of everything. Result is a few extra troops around (with less experience).

Ive no agents in Africa so I cannot be sure how Scipii are faring. But the graphs suggest they are not expanding. Egypt has regained its dominant position. Its been attacking my eastern regions more frequently. I did send two spies and an assassin into Turkey to cause trouble. They are in Judea now so I may have an update on Africa soon.
I have seen Scipii troops in Europe.

Im not upset its drawing to a close. Its getting tense and there are significant developments since my last post. Will be good tto end this marathon and try something new.

I did make a ceasefire with Scipii. But they went to war next turn. I dont think I can play Roman against Roman. They still seem to make their war and ceasefires as a group. One goes to war..they all do.

Some posts follow which I took before I read your request. Do they cover it?

6BC.
My eastern region receives a visit from the Scipii. This is a first. Its strange in many respects. Scipii own only one region in Europe (Italy) that I know of. Yet here the excellent faction leader, traveling alone, comes to my region.
I offer him €100 for a ceasefire which he accepts (Scipii is broke). Scipii declare war on me next turn.Attacked him. He dies. Scipii need a new leader.

2BC Gaul is no more. Spain & Julii were responsible.
Spain and Julii are at war with each other. Im at war with Julii and neutral to Spain. So trade with Spain is occuring. Thats good for my income and supportting my larger army.
In Turkey the Egyptians are regaining the regions recently lost in rebellion (caused by Spies and Assassin)
--Another Julii attack. Some good troops in there.
I was prepared with extra archers (look at the arrows in the snow). Cavalry took out the first Scorpions seen in this campaign.
First use ever of Night Raiders. Got them for their speed and morale effects.
Two more heavy infantry types in action. The romans didnt get their volloy off.
Another look at new troop types.
The Night Raiders were thrown around aggressively. They sufferred the most casualties. Acceptable and worth watching. Will be a bit more careful next time.
--Oh ****.
I was watching the end of turn moves by the AI and this bribery message came up.
As the last movement I had seen was diplomats around my eastern region I thought I had just lost that region and the big garrison in it. With dread I looked closer...and with relief saw it was a lone diplomat near Trier that had been bribed away by Briton. So now I had two Brit diplomats approaching me..with plenty of money in their pockets to try and bribe my regions.
--Cheers.
