Topic Subject:First mention of Expansion at the .com...

Just was wandering through some of the threads at the .com when a moderator mentioned the Expansion Pack...
Quoted from "Cn Iulius Flamininus":
I'm sorry to say but I think your little adjustments may have caused some instability in the game. Messing about with the game's data sets can have this effect. Being a dev, on RTW and the Barbarian Invasion expansion pack, I have bitter experience of this
Although we dont provide support for modding it could be worth going to the Mods forum and seeing if there are any answers to your problems there. As a mod tip it is worth checking every data change you make seperately. Adding the changes one by one, might isolate the cause for you and then you can avoid that particular change.
Nothing groundbreaking, but at least it's a confirmation that the Expansion pack is in the works. Thought you guys might be interested...

Barbarian Invasion, huh? I don't think anyone at this forum saw me say it, so I'll skip that bit and just say "I told you so." And do a boastful dance, of course.

I guess it was the most likely add-on that they could of come up with, still was nice to speculate wasn't it?
Well, i guess we just have to ask the question: "What barbarians" and even "When?" Not like there is a lack of Barbarian races out there. Huns, Saxons etc are probably the most likely fellars (late Roman Empire maybe?).

hehe, they hang around our local statue. 67 of them at last count. I mean I have nothing against goths as long as they dont jump me again just for wearing "scally" clothes. I'm an average Liverpudlian, and they dont expect me to wear a tracksuit? I'm not going to go and get some chips at macdonalds in my pyjamas!
Anyway, I meant the goths that raided Rome and settled part of modern Germany

I don't like Goths. (Am I talking about the barbarians or not? You decide!)
Attila the Hun would be a good choice. He attacked the Eastern Empire, which would mean they could expand the map greatly in the East. Perhaps to even include India... Ah... That would be good. More Elephants for everyone!
It would also be nice to go in and beat up Attila instead of surrendering yourself.
I never played a Total War game prior to this, so how exactly will the expansion work? Does it require a new campaign?

All your prior memory is saved, you'll be fine. There is just another campaign menu thats all.

'goths' is such a general term thrown around by chavs..
my experience is that chavs do nothing but harass people..
anyway the news of an expansion is interesting..it'll be interesting to see what sort of thing they come up with

I know mate, some of my best mates are goths, and the girl ones are hot.hehe I can actually tell the difference between a goth and a punk rocker you know. I know all kinds of names for people, but they're just names. I don't judge people like that. I feel you may have taken it too seriously.
