It would be great if everyone can write down their multiplayer thoughts on gameplay changes. So far I've found a few:

Cataphracts raised from 890 to 940.
Roman infantry noticably weakened.
Iberian and desert infantry greatly increased defense.
Round shield and long shield cavalry increased defense.

Anyone noticed others?

Mmm... I haven't really gone into the details. I only just downloaded the patch and played a couple of battles with it. So far it looks pretty good.

I only noticed that they added a Roman Armoured General unit. It looks very cool, and is quite strong too. I have a question though, and that is, how do we get them in the campaign?

It happens in an imperial palace, once you get one it changes your bodyguards. It said it in the descriptons for imeprial palaces (or highest city building) but it didn't take effect.

IT's CA-VAL-RY! there's no "l" in front of the "v"!
And it's PRINCIPES, or PRINCEPS(s), HASTATI, HASTATUS(s), TRIARII, or TRIARIUS(s).

i think in the patches it should include, extra years at the end of a campain or a new unit or stuf like that, not fiddle with an already amazing game.
