Under contol of the britons, whenever i go into battle and i have infantry pinning down the enemy from the front the obvious tactic is to send the chariots round the back and charge right? well my chariots just seem to go crazy and kill half my own men instead!? is there anyway i can minimise this?

Chariots aren't meant for flanking attacks - they're to disrupt enemy formations for your infantry to then charge into while they're completely disorganised. The best tactic is to get them to charge straight through and out again to minimise your own losses.

I use chariots to ruin enemy morale and organisation, which seem to work well, because now as the Egyptians, this is my main tactic, because the Scipii have Infantry five times more powerful than mine. The only bad thing is that i can't use chariots against the Greeks, cause they have those damn phalanxes !!!

chariots are like elephants. rampant and hard to control. that's a good thing if they're in masses of infantry. when you deploy them, put them far away(the part before you start battle and make a formation and place your units around) and when you make them charge, make them go far away from your army them.
