I'll be completely bogged next week, I may have an opening Friday evening though. I would like to re-earn some of my points I surrendered to EoJ XD

Does anyone fancy a game today? I want to get onto the ladder proper rather than having not played...

ooh, I was getting confused with the times - 7 is good though I think, maybe, I could have to push it to 7.15ish if thats ok since I'm too easy to confuse to get food at the right time...

no we moved, we skirmished a bit, and then there was some scaredish advancing before everyone got thrown in - I just didn't think it was going well until slightly after that point. Not sure how Wolf thought it was going, other than the horse fighting going my way at the start, I think its harder to think you're winning than to think you're losing, there were about 4-5 good infantry units on wolf's side left until right near the end plus loads of archers, I had mainly spearmen with two swordsmen.
my serpentines used all their ammo, which takes a while - still the didn't do much so were maybe a waste of time

It was indeed a long fight. But there was no way I was going to move, and I assumed Swamp didn't want to give up his practically impenetrable position. But I knew from the start of the battle that if I advanced on him (there's a small point in the battle that highlights this perfectly) that I wouldn't have a prayer in hell. In retrospect, I think I could have been slightly more aggressive, but I think I was pretty doomed from the start, especially after I wasted my cavalry in the beginning.
It was a fun day, especially after I beat EoJ ^^
(even if he was Scotland)

I was convinced Wolf had 2 units hidden in ambush in the trees (I could only count 18 units and had had lots of money spare myself for upgrades) - if you watch the replay (now uploaded) you can see a horse archer unit scouting out one section I wanted to move to.
I liked my start position, it was nice - although vulnerable to arty if you'd taken longer range things. The english archers could have maybe done more damage at the end, I expected them to anyway, but I think I managed to close them down without too many loses. I still think it was close up until the last part of the fight, having cavalry left in numbers - and a general - swung it my way though.
Shame, I really dont like cavalry but they seem utterly essential. poor aztecs.
