Hotseat game status: - Sicily has won on turn 115

Players (in turn order): (with links to write-ups) plus some other links where I consider it to be funny

Selifator: England
Kilij Ae Varyl: Spain

Venice - FACTION DESTROYED

Me Sicily

EoJ: Turks
I think I might have referenced this video before in the first crusade
This might be more appropriate... Looks like I was right there

Rankings - Turn 101

Rankings - Turn 69

Subs
Glacier_Girl played as sub for England - T29, T30
- played as sub for Sicily - T33

Monty501 played as sub for Spain T30, T 31
JuBuOrangie played as sub for Venice - T31 to T40
Lloydsgamble played as sub for Venice T41 to 42
Brutiangodofrock played as sub for Venice T43 to T65
Zsmart one played as sub for Turks T50 to T65
Hashoosh played as sub for Turks T64

Rules to note:

No 'exploiting' of any kind (e.g. putting forts on resources and stocking them with merchants) nor reloading your go to get a better result.

If I don't hear from a player within 4 days of receiving a turn, I will try to find a sub to take the turn.

If you don't expect to be able to play within 4 days, just let me know - extensions are fine (preferably not too often though please). I'll send a reminder email after a couple of days as a prompt.

If you expect an extended absence, e.g. not being able to play for over a week, you're invited to arrange a sub, giving them instructions etc so your turn is played as you'd like it to be.

An 'un-arranged' sub has the option to take over after 2 weeks or 10 turns The '2 weeks' here looks a little low, but the turn limit looks high?

You could do some serious damage to my armies, even if you didn't win - 40 to 60 units of Turks should be capable of being easily assembled (you're only 2 turns away tops with the Irakilion place) and could hurt me at least a little.

Any crusade faces a number of close together good cities capable of turning out 3-4 units a turn, and you have the finances to do it, not to mention still being able to jihad etc. So don't play too hard done by :0)
RUN AWAY, THE HAVE STICKS!!OnE1!

Am I going to over play this card and see how the jihad actually goes?

That clearly shows the Sicilian intention of goading and trapping my stacks and then destroying them in detail. I won't fall for it.

I just started a hotseat a couple days ago. Unlucky

That still leaves the little problem as to you have far too many territories.
Tell me this EoJ. Are you the one who has to worry about the Mongols? Have you ever tried fighting the Mongol horde on auto-resolve? Do you know how much factor does experience (Mongols got bloody 6 chevrons!), works in auto-resolve?

I need to have an income to sustain atleast 15 stacks indefinitely, if I am to defeat the Mongols. Jihad does not work since Mongols are Muslims. Then there are the Timurids.

I need to look 20 turns ahead of everyone else if I am to survive.

You know I try to give you an excuse for which ever way you choose to jump Bandito (be it attack for the daft comments or not attack in the pretense of being scared)

I don't think I've said anything to give you an excuse to turn on Venice (again) though, sorry. You'll have to make up something yourself in a few turns once you've got your settlements restocked.

I can't see the mongols lasting more than 6 turns, unless you have plans to use them for something (unless they come in through Russia).

That's rubbish. You can take the mongols easily and we both know how, don't we?

When the time comes, yes.
Right now? Hardly, especially if there is a general coalition against me.

Anyway, I think I can safely say that you guys won't Crusade right away, even when it becomes available. It is always wise to be cautious though, which is why I'm spewing chaff all over.

Don't you realise? El_Bandito is the cheif mongol! When they arrive they will just join the ranks of his turkish forces!

I will fight for Total War Heaven.

How hard is it to bribe mongols?

Sorry for the offtopic question.

Hard, they have full stacks of highly experienced troops and great generals. All this would amount to a hell of a lot of money.

You can't say that civilization don't advance, however, for in every war they kill you in a new way.

Chauvinism is not a particularly nice trait at the best of times but can be suicidal when the person your talking too can have you executed on a whim.

Facebook, anyone?

Doesn't matter, there's more than one way round the Mongol problem. They'll probably count for nought in this game, I'm afraid.

honestly i think el bandito will surely win this. best hope is coordinating and calling a crusade the exact time the mongols or the timurids arrive. then you guys can hopefully take him out.

Whats the status of this Hotseat? I mean has Selifator done his turn yet? Has EOJ done his turn yet? Both have posted here recently but it seems nobody is taking their turn.

Like I said before, I'm not playing this on my own pc. I'm playing it on my sis' pc. That means that I'm restrained because it's hers, and she needs it for uni and her own stuff. I'll send the save on today.

Selifator seems to be on the computer and able to post on the forum but why doesnt he play his turns when hes on the computer?

Most computers have net access, but not all have M2TW. As long as he plays and passes within the time limit it's not really a problem.

Ok

How do you change your faction's name in a Hotseat game?

How do you change the name of a city in a Hotseat game?

JuBu, like I said before, I can only play on my sis' pc. That is not my pc. It's not mine to use and I can only use it when she is not using it. Right now it's weekend and she doesn't have to work, and therefore spends more time behind the pc.

I've played the game, not quite finished yet and with a bit of luck will send it on today.
