Hotseat game status: - Sicily has won on turn 115

Players (in turn order): (with links to write-ups) plus some other links where I consider it to be funny

Selifator: England
Kilij Ae Varyl: Spain

Venice - FACTION DESTROYED

Me Sicily

EoJ: Turks
I think I might have referenced this video before in the first crusade
This might be more appropriate... Looks like I was right there

Rankings - Turn 101

Rankings - Turn 69

Subs
Glacier_Girl played as sub for England - T29, T30
- played as sub for Sicily - T33

Monty501 played as sub for Spain T30, T 31
JuBuOrangie played as sub for Venice - T31 to T40
Lloydsgamble played as sub for Venice T41 to 42
Brutiangodofrock played as sub for Venice T43 to T65
Zsmart one played as sub for Turks T50 to T65
Hashoosh played as sub for Turks T64

Rules to note:

No 'exploiting' of any kind (e.g. putting forts on resources and stocking them with merchants) nor reloading your go to get a better result.

If I don't hear from a player within 4 days of receiving a turn, I will try to find a sub to take the turn.

If you don't expect to be able to play within 4 days, just let me know - extensions are fine (preferably not too often though please). I'll send a reminder email after a couple of days as a prompt.

If you expect an extended absence, e.g. not being able to play for over a week, you're invited to arrange a sub, giving them instructions etc so your turn is played as you'd like it to be.

An 'un-arranged' sub has the option to take over after 2 weeks or 10 turns The '2 weeks' here looks a little low, but the turn limit looks high?

Well there goes Operation: Make Swampy think everyone is against him.

Initiate Operation: Quick surrender.

Thanks for playing along EoJ.

I find it best to try and avoid telling people that I'm relying on anything - just in case.

Once Bandito has released his all encompassing hotseat guide I might do a brief one on the art of fear and paranoia - I think I've got suspecting everyone of everything down to an art.

I've the Sicily turn today, alas I've got to go away for a few days with work and am still packing (I've finally managed to find my passport, but it was touch and go) - it lookslike I'll not get a chance to do the save until I get back. If I don't send it on by the end of the 13th then I'll have to chase myself or somesuch.

Played and passed on to Bandito (probably a bad idea to have done that on valentines day, hmm).
posted 19 February 2010 04:19 EDT (US)     1008 / 1439
Oh dear, no word at all from Bandito - unless anyone has an idea where he is (e.g. if there's another chicken flu outbreak in Mongolia that's stopping people using the internet etc) then it's time to call a sub in.
I'll try and be neutral rather than looking for someone who tends to demolish all their buildings and disband their armies going for a hippie style "why can't we all just get along?" approach.

Selifator is currently suffering PC failure (again...). We'll get an update soon on if that'll mean we need an extra sub until it's fixed.
I miss the good old simple days where turns would flow from player to player like, err, something fluid.

I blame the fact that this game is like 4-5yrs old and all the reliable players have stepped up to empire total war leaving us behind

After a bit of a delay (combination of housework and being sent to Guernsey) the save is on to Zsmart one for his second turn as the Turks.

The ranking graphs will be interesting when they're up. In particular, Venice has rocketted up the military rankings - and down the financial rankings...

Hehe, it kinda threw me off .

Just a heads up, i might not be entirely active in the near future as History coursework is due in before long and i'm getting a rather brutal enema from my teachers. None the less i will try to get it done promptly and it is very unlikely i wont be able to carry on. I at least want to see this war done with.

The save is on again to Zsmart one.

I guess history teachers probably aren't interested in the struggles of the Venetian empire in the mid 1100s in some alternate version of history.

Strangely it didn't show up in my sent folder either, or my drafts. I blame a hotmail error myself, I was fairly sure I'd written an email.
