Can we have asection for complte war stories ather than just in post because some of the stories get impossible to read eventually

Yeah, we could do that. We'd have to exercise some quality control over what was put on to the site but if people sent their stories to me I'd be able to look them over and put them on the site.

Could we maybe replace (or add to) the pre-release FAQ with the FAQ from the thread in General Discussions? Give me a while and I can think of more. I also second the idea of a dedicated War Story section. Maybe we could base it from the forum, and when it gets really popular move it to the section?

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

GoS is working on updating the current one, I'm hoping I can get her to start some new ones on various RTW subjects once she's finished.

As Adder said, I'm currently updating the FAQ. While there are many points to be rectified, I will add more to it and make it less pre-releaseish.

The Newbie FAQ will be posted on the site as well.

We need a forum for people to argue about the Marius reforms so that it doesnt clog up the other ones, everytime i come on there seems to be another thread by someone who claims to have solve the riddle!

Update the GALLERY. Maybe put short picture war stories from the people who are battling over top spot on the ladder. I know you can get the download the whole battle from the DOWNLOAD section but the gallery is almost never updated and is just taking up space now.

Update the Game Information Section, especially the Units and Civilizations. That's what got me in here the first time. But after having played the game a little longer, and looking back at them...they're woefully outdated and incomplete.

They're both on my list.

The units section could take a while though (and has thus far =/) due to the fact that we're waiting on someone who doesn't have a lot of time.

Thanks for suggesting the civ section. It's something I'll look into and begin working on. ^_^

This has made me think that a clan recruitment thread in MP discussions wouyld be a good idea, clearing the forums of advertising and providing a place to clan members to discuss. I realise that it will probably result in some "OMG my clan > your clan we roxxorz !!!!11111111!!!11111oneoneone" posts, but it may lead to some interesting debates on the pros and cons of clans in general.

Details about developer and such.
Some events where, say, fan art competition, where you get a HG shirt if you win, for example.
Game spy info, how to work with it and such.
Downloadable wallpaper about Rome Total War. (Flashy Photoshop work)
Possibly get an interview with a developer.

Have a monthly award for the best battle video/unit mod submitted to the dowload section. A idea for the review team, probably.

Could we try to organise another doubles tournament? I know the last one flopped due to no-one playing, but the overwhelmingly 15-year old demographic of this site should have more time over summer due to school holidays.

Well, technically you are about 99% correct. Many people dive straight into the forum, tora tora tora, banzai head first. A lot of them don't take any time looking around.

Maybe some sort of welcome page with something like:

"You will be directed to Rome: Total War heaven in ## seconds"

Please take time to read our guides, vist our forums and check our content! :-)"

I suppose, it's only a small thing, but GameSpy always gets my attention that way.
