While we're working on a number of things at the moment it'd be great to hear your suggestions in regard to content on the site. Afterall, we cater to you guys. If you have suggestions regarding new sections or possible content let us know in this thread and we'll see what we can do.

Done. Well at least the only bit I can change is done.

The about us page needs some work. I don't think it'll be very useful for people to direct questions to CrazedEwok or GloryofSparta.

It's probably more efficient to take this up on HG Main since I understand it's none of you guys' faults, but I'm posting here with hopes that you can pass my concern along.
This is, of course in regards to what is more annoying than one advertisement talking to you. That is, of course, two advertisements talking to you. Granted that ads aren't part of the site content directly, but this seemed the most appropriate thread. In any case, I'd just like to vocalize my complaints about having usually one, but occasionally even two advertisements start telling me I won something when I'm trying to peacefully access HG.

Hey everyone. Not to be rude, but to be honest, this host is really bad. I know some other forums which have way better formats. You could move there by transfering the database which will export all users, posts, etc.
And I also suggest letting users put images in their signatures.

We are currently working on a forum upgrade among other things.
The reason we don't allow signature images is the same reason we have small avatars - it clutters up the forum and the majority of our users don't want them.

I'm representing the new Warboard - Guide to Medieval II: Total War and we wondered if the Front page for Medieval II might make an announcement and host two of our demos for free download. The Demos would be for screen sizes 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200.
We host the demos freely from our own site, but would like to promote the new strategy guide through this site as well.
The announcement would read as follows: __________
The Warboard - Guide to Medieval II Total War offers an interactive game map of the grand campaign, detailed breakdowns on nearly 600 units, settlement descriptions with 3D overheads, articles on boosting Economy, training Generals, battlefield tactics & much more. Download a free demo today.
Hi Wargo. Thanks for coming along to TWH to let us know about this. You're very welcome to promote your guide on the M2TW forums here. Use the general one as it gets most traffic. You're also welcome to host the demo on our downloads section.
The only thing I ask is that you make it clear that this guide is not free and a fee needs to be paid. For this reason, we won't be newsing updates on our front page because it is not our policy to officially endorse or actively promote any "pay for" products other than the games CA releases.
I hope that meets your expectations. You're welcome to email me if you'd like to discuss it further.

I'm not sure if this is possible but I suggest having a sticky in the Bardic Circle sub-forum which serves as an archive for completed AAR/War Stories which meet a certain standard (ie good attempt). I feel this would make searching for a certain AAR from a while ago much easier and have access to newer AAR's without scanning every single post in the forum.
Feel free to destroy this sugestion based on it stupidity

Completed War stories and AARs of good quality qualify for the Guild of the Skalds. All the author has to do is send an email to the Guild Master, who will than check it for completion and quality before passing it on to the Guild itself for acceptance.
See that sticky in the Bardic Circle.
Is that what you are asking for? If yes, then your good idea has already been handled.
Note- not all authors want their works enshrined in the Guild Halls. Those authors you have to search for on your own. Sorry.

Edorix has the right of it- and add to that our current dearth of techs who can create a new site- with nobody to staff it- and the recipe for a further failure is born.
You can create a thread in the Red Lion Tavern for ti, if you wish. maybe, if it gets enough steam going, I can whip up a forum here for it.
